Norah Marr, CMP, CMM has gained her expertise as a hotel negotiator in over 40 years in the hospitality and meetings industry. Being a native of Peru of European ancestry as well as her fluency in four languages, gives Norah a global perspective that is hard to match anywhere in the industry. Over the past several years, she has developed a unique position as the go-to person for international meetings and incentives.

Norah became an associate of ConferenceDirect following a successful career managing sales for the Western US and International Markets at the legendary Anatole Hotel in Dallas. Her well-rounded education in both Hotel Sales and Operations began in 1984 with Sheraton Hotels & Resorts (ITT) at the Lima Sheraton Hotel & Casino. Experience and positions held covered a myriad of areas at properties in South America and overseas where she also had extensive international industry memberships such as CANATUR, APAVIT and served as a Board Member for the Association of Executives in Travel Industries.

Marr’s experience in hotel contract negotiations is featured as one of the success stories in the Convention Industry Council’s Project Attrition. Marr is a consistent recipient of ConferenceDirect’s Top Performers awards, in recognition for exceptional success in booked revenue. Marr was also a Board Member for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO-DFW), serving as Vice President of Corporate Development as well as a Chair in the Denton and Collin County Council.

Marr also served as Director International Marketing and Strategic Partnerships for ConferenceDirect.
